The US Martial Arts Team (USMAT) is proud to officially announce the appointment of Justin Ortiz as the organization’s new Director of Global Partnerships & Athlete Opportunities.

Ortiz joins USMAT in a leadership role focused on expanding strategic relationships, increasing visibility for athletes, and helping create meaningful opportunities that continue elevating the organization both nationally and internationally.

A highly respected martial artist with experience spanning competition, entertainment, media, and relationship development, Ortiz brings a unique perspective and network that aligns directly with USMAT’s long-term vision for growth.

“Justin brings a rare combination of credibility, leadership, influence, and relationship-building ability,” said Joey Harrison, Chairman of the US Martial Arts Team. “As USMAT continues building meaningful opportunities for athletes and coaches around the world, we’re excited to have Justin helping lead that continued vision forward within our organization.”

In his new role, Ortiz will work directly with USMAT leadership to help strengthen partnerships, support athlete opportunity development, expand organizational visibility, and further connect what athletes accomplish in competition to opportunities beyond the mat.

His appointment represents another major step forward for USMAT as the organization continues evolving its presence on the international stage.

“I’m excited to be part of what USMAT is building,” said Ortiz. “There’s a strong vision here for athletes, coaches, and the future of martial arts, and I’m looking forward to helping create new opportunities and relationships that continue pushing the organization forward.”

USMAT continues to expand its reach through athlete development, international collaboration, leadership growth, and major event initiatives, including the continued development of the World Martial Arts Games and the United States Invitational & State Games.
